FOUNDER
Founder, Black Cruisers Club · Virgin Voyages First Mate Certified
Founder Bio
RJ MOOD started Black Cruisers Club because the cruise industry had not built a real community for Black travelers who wanted to sail at the highest level specifically on Virgin Voyages.
He earned Virgin Voyages First Mate certification and built BCC into one of the fastest-growing Black cruise communities on the platform.
He has sailed every Virgin Voyages ship, reviewed every restaurant on the fleet, and organized group sailings from Miami to Barcelona.
This is not a content brand. This is a community that sails together.

The Problem
Cruising Solo on Virgin Voyages, Doesn’t Have to Be Solo.
You booked the trip. The ship is beautiful. The restaurants are incredible. But you’re sailing without people who travel the way you travel, celebrate the way you celebrate, or show up to Scarlet Night the way you show up.
1. Navigating Virgin Voyages Alone
Dining reservations open at midnight. Onboard credit vs. drink credit not the same thing. What fills fastest. Which restaurants are worth the reservation slot.
The VV system rewards preparation and BCC gives you that edge before you board.
2. No Community Onboard That Matches Your Energy
2,700 people on the ship. You don’t know any of them. The crew at Gunbae’s table are strangers. The pool deck is full of people.
But your people the ones who travel the way you do are not there. Yet.
3. Leaving Real Money and Value on the Table
Onboard credit. Drink benefits. Second sailor savings.
Most people don’t know these benefits exist on eligible sailings through BCC let alone how to access them. They book solo and leave real value behind.
The BCC Difference - Solution
Black Cruisers Club is not a Facebook group. It is not a fan page.
It is a First Mate-certified, fully organized sailing community built specifically for Black travelers who sail with Virgin Voyages with real benefits, real education, and real people who are already onboard when you arrive.
Never Sail Alone is not a slogan. It is how BCC works.
