What is Black Cruisers Club?
Black Cruisers Club is the cruise-focused travel community of MOOD Travel Club — a Black-owned luxury group travel company founded in 2016 and a certified Virgin Voyages First Mate agency. We organize group cruise takeovers aboard Virgin Voyages’ adults-only lady ships, sailing destinations across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and beyond. The membership is how you stay connected, informed, and rewarded between sailings — and how you earn perks every time you sail with us.
What are the three membership tiers?
Black Cruisers Club has three monthly membership tiers. The Vibe Crew at $9 per month is the entry-level tier — newsletter, community access, and early sailing announcements. The Wave Makers at $19 per month is the flagship tier — adds monthly port guides, a live crew call, a VIP upgrade discount code, and exclusive member deals. The Legacy Circle at $29 per month is the premium tier — adds priority excursion access, double monthly giveaway entries (2x), direct advisor access, and a complimentary annual hotel stay for up to 2 adults valued at $500 to $2,500.
Is this a subscription or a one-time purchase?
The Black Cruisers Club membership is a monthly subscription billed month-to-month. There is no annual contract and no long-term commitment. You can cancel at any time — your membership stays active through the end of the billing period already paid. The per-sailing VIP upgrade, which is separate from this membership, is a one-time per-sailing purchase.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. All three membership tiers are cancel-anytime with no cancellation fee and no penalty. To cancel, contact us at help@MOODTravelClub.com or manage your subscription through your account on moodtravelclub.com. Your access continues through the end of your current billing cycle.
Is this the same as the VIP sailing upgrade?
No — they are two completely separate products. The Black Cruisers Club membership is your year-round community subscription, active whether or not you are currently booked on a sailing. The VIP Pre-Voyage upgrade is a per-sailing add-on ($100 first-time, discounted rate for returning members via code) that covers the pre-cruise hotel, welcome dinner, VIP transfer, welcome gift, and happy hour for a specific sailing. Your membership earns you the VIP discount code — they work together, but they are purchased separately.

What do I get with The Vibe Crew tier?
The Vibe Crew includes: the Black Cruisers Club monthly newsletter (delivered early, before the general public), upcoming sailing announcements before public release, access to the member community group chat and network, the full 2026-2027 sailing calendar, and rotating member-only promo codes from travel and lifestyle partners.
Is The Vibe Crew worth it if I am not actively planning a cruise?
Absolutely. The Vibe Crew is specifically designed for travelers who are between sailings or still deciding. At $9 per month, it keeps you inside the community — which means when a new sailing drops, you hear first, get priority access, and never have to scramble for a spot. Think of it as keeping your seat at the table.
What is in the Black Cruisers Club newsletter?
The monthly newsletter covers upcoming sailing announcements and key dates, exclusive member deals and promo codes, cruise and travel tips curated by the MOOD team, port guides for upcoming itineraries, community news, and early access to giveaways and events. Vibe Crew members receive the newsletter before it goes out to the general subscriber list.

What does The Wave Makers tier add over The Vibe Crew?
The Wave Makers includes everything in The Vibe Crew plus: a monthly port guide and cruise tip drop with destination deep-dives for upcoming sailings, the monthly live crew call hosted by the MOOD team and community, a VIP upgrade discount code that gives you the returning VIP rate on your next sailing, exclusive member deals and partner offers on travel accessories and gear, and the Wave Makers community badge.
What happens on the monthly live crew call?
The monthly live crew call is a hosted session open to Wave Makers and Legacy Circle members. The MOOD Travel Club team runs Q&A on upcoming sailings, shares port-by-port highlights, answers cruise questions, recaps recent trips, and spotlights community members. It is where the community has a real voice and where trip planning happens together. Sessions are recorded and shared with all members who cannot attend live.
How does the VIP upgrade discount code work?
Wave Makers and Legacy Circle members receive an exclusive discount code that gives them the returning VIP rate on their per-sailing VIP upgrade. The discount varies by itinerary. The code is distributed via your member email and newsletter — you enter it at checkout when purchasing the VIP upgrade for your chosen sailing. It is not applied automatically.
Is $19 per month worth it for The Wave Makers?
The math is straightforward. The monthly live call alone carries a $20 value. The VIP discount code saves you real money — on a single sailing, the returning VIP rate versus the first-time $100 rate represents $20 to $40 in savings depending on the itinerary. Between the call, the discount, the port guides, and the deals, most members find The Wave Makers pays for itself within the first sailing.
THE LEGACY CIRCLE — $29/MONTH
What makes The Legacy Circle different from the other tiers?
The Legacy Circle includes everything in The Wave Makers plus four exclusive upgrades: priority access to excursions and limited-capacity events before general release; double monthly giveaway entries (2x the standard, totaling 24 entries per year on eligible sailings); one direct advisor message per month with a 48-hour response from a personal MOOD travel advisor; and a complimentary annual hotel stay for up to 2 adults valued at $500 to $2,500.
What is the annual complimentary hotel stay?
Legacy Circle members receive one complimentary hotel night per year for up to 2 adults at a MOOD-selected property. Properties are typically near major embarkation ports or at MOOD Travel Club destinations. At the 12-month membership mark, MOOD sends hotel options and booking instructions via email. The room for 2 guests is covered — dining, transportation, and incidentals are the member’s responsibility. The hotel stay is valued at $500 to $2,500 depending on the property and season.
Why is the hotel stay valued at $500 to $2,500?
MOOD Travel Club selects properties based on the quality expected by our community — boutique hotels, upscale chains, and curated properties near embarkation ports like Miami, San Juan, Barcelona, and others. One-night stays at these properties can range from $150 at a well-located mid-tier hotel to $800+ at a luxury waterfront property in peak season. The range reflects the variety of options MOOD curates, and members receive choices within that range at the 12-month mark.
What does 2x giveaway entries mean?
Legacy Circle members receive two entries per month instead of one into the monthly Black Cruisers Club cabin giveaway on eligible sailings. Over the course of a year, that is 24 total entries versus 12 for standard members. More entries means significantly better odds of winning a free cabin. Winners are drawn monthly on eligible group sailings and notified via email.
Is The Legacy Circle worth $29 per month?
The annual hotel stay alone — valued at $500 to $2,500 — covers the entire cost of your Legacy Circle subscription ($348/year) and then some. Add the 24 giveaway entries, direct advisor access, priority excursion booking, the Wave Makers inclusions (live calls, VIP code, port guides), and the Vibe Crew foundation (newsletter, community, announcements), and the Legacy Circle is objectively the highest-value travel community subscription available for Black cruise travelers at any price.

However, membership is how you unlock the VIP discount code, double giveaway entries, the annual hotel stay, priority excursion access, and the community experience that makes every MOOD sailing different. Membership pays for itself on the first sailing for most members.
Virgin Voyages includes all dining at 20-plus onboard restaurants with no extra charges and no fixed dining times, Wi-Fi, group fitness classes, entertainment shows, and crew gratuities — wait, important note: crew gratuities are NOT included in the Virgin Voyages base fare. They must be purchased separately. Virgin Voyages offers a discounted gratuity package that can be added at the time of booking, and MOOD strongly recommends adding it at the deposit stage to lock in the lower rate. Through our group link, members also unlock up to $300 Bar Tab credit per cabin.
Yes — Virgin Voyages is strictly 18 and older with no exceptions on any sailing. No children can board under any circumstance. This is one of the defining features of the Black Cruisers Club experience and creates the elevated, grown-and-sexy atmosphere the community is built around.
Virgin Voyages is a strictly adults-only (18+) cruise line. We collect your birthdate to verify that all members meet the minimum age requirement and to ensure you are eligible to sail on any Virgin Voyages itinerary. Your birthdate is never shared with third parties and is stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy at moodtravelclub.com.
Your shipping address is collected at registration so we can deliver your Black Cruisers Club branded apparel — included with the per-sailing VIP upgrade — and any future member gifts, merchandise, or physical perks without needing to follow up separately. Address information is stored securely and used only for shipping and membership purposes.

Your membership activates immediately upon successful payment. You will receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of completing checkout. This email includes your welcome message, community access instructions, your first newsletter or newsletter delivery date, and any tier-specific onboarding steps. Yes. You can upgrade your membership tier at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and you are charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. To change your tier, contact help@MOODTravelClub.com or manage your subscription in your account settings.
Virgin Voyages includes all dining at 20+ onboard restaurants (no extra charges, no fixed dining times), Wi-Fi, group fitness classes, and entertainment. Through our group booking link, members also unlock exclusive group perks and onboard access not available when booking direct. Tips and gratuities are NOT included in the base cruise fare — they can be pre-purchased at a discounted rate at the time of booking and we strongly recommend adding them when you book your deposit. Spa, casino, shore excursions, and specialty add-ons are additional costs.
